Sharon Bailey grew up in Vancouver BC and has spent more than twenty years making Salt Spring Island her creative home. Her songs sit at the crossroads of country folk and swampy blues, using plainspoken storytelling and textured arrangements to explore contemporary issues filtered through a working‑class upbringing and a life remade on Canada’s west coast. Bailey’s third studio album, Turn This Thing Around (November 2025), produced and arranged by multi‑instrumentalist Adrian Dolan, brings together leading West Coast players including Adrian Dolan, Adam Dobres, and Geoff Hicks. The record highlights Bailey’s distinctive voice across a set of strong, original songs. Her recordings have earned airplay on independent radio in Canada, the United States, and Europe, while her live shows balance upbeat musical fun with darker, more contemplative moments.
